Separation achieved

Once we had the bottom section cut, we attached a come-along to a steel girder on the hangar structure and started cranking. The lower section just slid across the floor on tires. We weren’t at all certain whether the remaining larger section was going to be top or bottom heavy, so we strapped it to the pickup just in case. It turned out to be bottom heavy and very stable, which made the next step a lot easier.
